Week 3

Well if Week 2 was full of blowout matchups, Week 3 was quite a bit more interesting. Three matchups were within 6 points and there was one Monday Night Miracle 1 point victory (more on that below).
Let's take a look at some storylines in the league after three weeks:
To start, Billy is 3-0. And to no one's surprise he hasn't spent a single FAAB dollar. He loves dem cookies. But he has to be nervous about the state of his roster right now. He has bounced back and forth between Prescott and Mayfield, but Henry has one big game, one disaster, and one meh week. Puka Nacua may have cemented himself as the #1 WR in fantasy, but how will Billy handle the losses of McLaurin and James Conner? Does he have the depth to fill in?
Jonathan Taylor doesn't look like he plans on slowing down anytime soon. After scoring THREE?!? touchdowns in Week 3 he is the #1 Fantasy Scoring Running back and is the 7th highest scoring player in all of the NFL. The only person more passionate about this result other than KRABS is Jacob. The Smith Civil War may just beginning. And let's be honest. This isn't helping...
The Institute is 0-3. I mean, darn. But what is the fix here? Chase Brown is a mess and he looks like he has it all together when you compare him to Marvin Harrison. Rome Odunze may be the pick of the draft so far, but can he save this entire roster?!?!
P.S. How about you trade me Tyler Warren eh?
I mentioned it above, but injuries have played a big factor so far in 2025. So many players were hurt in Week 3 in addition to the massive QB injuries from Week 2. Depth is always a factor, but it really is going to come into play this season.
Week 3 was also a historic “wild” week of non-offensive scores – there were nine non-offensive touchdowns: 4 pick-sixes, 2 blocked field goals returned for touchdowns, 2 punt return touchdowns, and 1 fumble return touchdown. It was the first time in NFL history to have at least two blocked field goals returned for touchdowns, two punt return touchdowns, and two pick-sixes all in the same week. And the Eagles somehow blocked two consecutive field goal attempts in a wild come from behind victory against the Rams.
Finally in other news, Overbay it looks like you still have a goal to aspire too if you are motivated!
And without further ado I hand it over to the Executive Vice Commish for the recap of Week 3 of the Dream Job league.

Welcome to the week 3 “Dream Job” recap. I don’t have much news to talk about other than the fact my i am very embarrassed by the team I drafted. But furthermore lets move onto the awards.
Move of the Week:
One word, four letters, BILL. We had the second tie in three weeks ironically, with the first one between Laney and Robert, and this week being between Everly and Hudson. Croskey-Merritt may have not scored much, but 8 points was enough to pull Everly to the tie. If she would’ve kept Treyveon Henderson, she would’ve lost this week. Well done Everly.
Manager of the Week:
I’m giving Emma this week’s award. Although she may have not scored the most points, she still pulled away a tight win against James. 95 points is still a tough feat to reach (i havent got close to it) so Emma deserves her first manager of the week award.
Manager of the Weak:
Poor Poor Brooks. Ja’marr Chase without Joe Burrow is not a sight you want to see. Also, Michael Penix silenced all the haters by making them louder as he dropped a donut against the panthers. Both these two players combined had 4 points leading Brooks to a total of 58 points this week.
MVP:
I have nominated:
Omarion Hampton (Luke)
AJ Brown (surprising) (Parker)
Hunter Henry (Everly)
David Montgomery (Alfredo)
Lamar Jackson (Emma)
James Cook (Derek)
Courtland Sutton (Daniel)
I have chosen Hunter Henry as the week 3 MVP.
Hunter Henry had two touchdowns this week for Everly to carry her to her tie against Hudson. Many people were not expecting Henry to have this type of game, leading him to be a good choice for MVP. Congrats to Hunter Henry and Everly.
Thanks for reading the week 3 recap as we strive to become a better league than the playoffs league.
Until next week…..

Season 10, Episode 4
Manager of the Weak

When Daniels was declared out on Friday, Dirty Mike had to immediately come up with a plan for QB. He got "Goffed". Jared Goff somehow went from scoring 41 points in Week 2 to 12 in Week 3. This guy is the most volatile QB in the league. You honestly never will know if he will throw 5 touchdowns or 0. I have lived the Jared Goff experience. It isn't worth the price of admission. My boy Gator better be hoping that Daniels is back in the lineup in Week 4 because otherwise I don't think I would be betting on the 41 point version of Goff in Week 4.
Move of the Week

Well. The Minnesota Defense had a game. They scored 30 fantasy points and (wait, excuse me sorry I think the Bengals just fumbled again) well they helped Brent win. Alot. Isaiah Rodgers had a monster game: an 87-yard interception return for a touchdown, a 66-yard fumble return for a touchdown, and forced another fumble. He became the first player ever to have both a pick-six and a fumble return TD of those lengths in the same game. And shockingly it looks like Brent is going to start them again in Week 4. Pro tip for you Hype Train, don't trade the Minnesota Defense. Even if you get this trade offer:
MVP

Minnesota Defense, Pittsburgh Defense, Caleb Williams, Tyler Loop, Jalen Hurts
Well we talked plenty about Jeff and his Ashton Jeanty problem, but what we haven't mentioned yet his is massive Week 3 victory over KRABS. At the start of the Monday Night game, The Kayak Pirates were losing and only had Tyler Loop while KRABS had Zay Flowers and Sam LaPorta. Things were looking bleak. But in what was probably a classic blanket night, Jeff somehow managed to pull out a 1 point victory on the back of a crucial 7 points from Tyler Loop. Flowers had 1 point and LaPorta had 3 proving that in Fantasy Football anything can happen. Especially when the blanket comes out. Congrats to Tyler Loop for winning the Week 3 MVP!
Manager of the Week

Week 4 was a coming out party for Caleb Williams and Jerry's Belt Buckle. No this franchise doesn't have Josh Palmer anymore, but what they do have is a 2-1 record and alot of momentum heading into their Week 4 rivalry matchup against yours truly. Caleb Williams looked like the second coming of Joe Montana in Week 3, but was that the Ben Johnson effect and development or was that the Cowboys who basically have been thrashed two straight weeks. Gibbs is a clear dominant force, but Jordan Mason could be a top 10 RB while Aaron Jones is hurt. I mean that is what he did for 7 weeks last year and its what he is doing so far through his first week as the starter of the Vikings. Can this roster piece together enough points at WR to stay in the hunt all season? Congrats to Umphlett for winning the Week 3 Manager of the Week award!
Do you think Jerry's Belt Buckle will make the Playoffs in 2025?
Yes
No
Until Week 4 (Rivalry Week!)...
