Congrats to Billy for officially clinching a Playoff spot. His season has been strong from top to bottom, he can focus now on sealing the deal. Overbay is only a win away and with a win over a fading Jerry’s Belt Buckle can clinch his spot this weekend. Everything else is up for grabs.
After losing two consecutive weeks, Brent is desperate for a victory and is favored against a showmedamoney! squad that is currently facing Week 14 byes. Can Mahomes and St. Brown pull this team out of a slump?
And in quite the biggest regular matchup in years The Commish and The Institute battle it out in a loser goes home matchup to stay alive in The Playoffs race. Only being separated by 3 points, these two teams have faced struggles throughout the year but somehow find themselves in a position to control their own destiny. These two teams have faced each other five times in the last two weeks of the regular season, but never with both teams in Playoff contention. This is sure to be an explosive matchup, can Barkley and Higgins lead The Commish to another victory or will Murray and McCaffery be victorious?
Let’s do a quick Taysom Hill update.
Week 6: 3
Week 7: 7
Week 8: 7
Week 9: 0
Week 10: 0
Week 11: 5
Week 12: 1
Week 13: 10
Total: 33
Taysom Hill needs 2 points to win the bet and has 2 games left. Week 13 was not a good development for the prospects of my Taysom Hill bet. But hey Umphlett doesn’t have a lot going for him right now, but it certainly looks like he is going to win this bet. But I am not giving up yet.
Before we get to the awards let’s check this week’s episode of Gridiron Heights:
Manager of the Weak

While you may have had a big week with Taysom Hill, nothing else went right pal. Victory against The Institute? Nope. Ken Walker III? Hurt. Lamar Jackson? Hurt. Deebo Samuel? Non-Existent. The once cruising franchise now finds himself a game behind a playoff spot having to start Mike White (?!?!?!) against the Buffalo Bills. Is this real life people? If he is going to go down this weekend he is going down with Najee Harris though so at least there is some poetic justice to it. Can Taysom Hill save Umphlett’s season?
Move of the Week

We have talked about this before but Billy finally realized that Christian Watson is good. This dude has 7 touchdowns over his last 4 games. He is now the #21 WR on the season. That is unreal.
MVP Terry McLaurin, Davante Adams, DK Metcalf, Tony Pollard, Christian Watson

Prior to Week 14, Davante Adams was on another level. The only players with more fantasy points over the past 4 weeks was Jalen Hurts, Josh Jacobs (also a LV Raider), and some guy named Patrick Mahomes. That is it. That is how dominating Adams has been. After leaving Rodgers he was expected to take a step back, but he has taken a step forward and is the #1 WR in the league with a 16 point cushion over Stefon Diggs. He has been outstanding and a great reason why The Institute hasn’t packed up and moved on to his Fantasy Hockey season yet. With a 29 point explosion in Week 13, Davante led his squad to a crucial victory which sets up the massive Week 14 showdown. Congrats to Davante for winning the Week 13 MVP!
Manager of the Week

Overbay has now won three in a row and with another Jose’s Taco Truck Blowout of the week is firmly in 2nd place of the league. I have no idea how this happened or why Samaji Perine is tied as the 4th highest scoring RB over the past 4 weeks, but here we are. Jalen Hurts is a true MVP and Tyreek Hill is pushing for 2K receiving yards and whatever points Overbay gets from his RB and TE position are just icing on the cake. Can he keep this up? We will see, but basically at this point he is in the playoffs so he has done everything he can do up to this point. Congrats to Overbay for winning the Week 13 Manager of the Week!
Until Week 14…
P.S. Jeff Wilson Jr. continues to be rostered and Brent continues to walking a tight rope to make the playoffs. Cause or Correlation?!?!?!
