Well I am not sure what to say about this NFL season. Their are basically three headlines: 1) Billy keeps winning 2) Everyone is hurt 3) Rico Dowdle is Jim Brown. I mean it's voodoo magic. On an Oz Pearlman level. Speaking of Oz, check this out:
There is one positive thing that is happening with the 2025 season and that is the league is collectively doing their job. The Institute is on pace to break Dirty Mike's league record that he set last year. Last year Dirty Mike had 1582 points scored against him in the regular season which is the most points ever allowed by any team in league history during the regular season. VZ is currently allowing 105.83 points per game which means that each of you are stepping up big time to score points when you play The Institute. I commend each of you and can only hope that this statistical trend continues in Week 7.
Note: While technically Brent Cozart had more points scored against him in 2024, he had the benefit of an extra game. The all time worst bad beat season has to be The Commish's 2013 season when the only force more powerful than my roster that year was the curse that was placed upon me for trading with VZ for Calvin Johnson. That year I had 1503 points scored against me in a 14 game season for a whopping 107.35 point average, shattering anything the rest of the league has ever seen. Sigh.
Ok let's get to the EVC's recap of Week 6 of the Dream Job league!

Welcome to the week 6 “Dream Job” recap. I finally had a slither of hope this week and hoped to get my prestigious pickup of Kimani Vidal some awards, but that was shot down as Bijan proceeded to run through the bills defense on monday night. But besides that, let’s move to the awards.
Move of the Week:
It’s crazy to do this, but Everly is gonna win another move of the week. The la rams defense was put up against a dying ravens offense, and they delivered. They scored 17 points for Everly and gave her a push to win this week.
Manager of the Week:
Rico Dowdle is looking like the most influential waiver wire pickup this season, which led Alfredo to a dominating win with 111 points. Patrick Mahomes had 35 in his yearly breakout game, and Drake London found his stride with 21 points. Congrats to Alfredo.
Manager of the Weak:
I think this is the lowest amount of points this season so far. Hudson scored a astonishing 39 points this week in a terrible performance. Starting Tua is not a good outcome for success, as he scored 6 points, and Travis Hunter and Tyquan Thornton had a combined one point.
MVP:
I have nominated:
Bijan Robinson (Daniel)
Patrick Mahomes (Alfredo)
Drake Maye (Everly)
Jayden Daniels (Jacob)
George Pickens (Luke)
Christian Mccaffrey (Derek)
Devon Achane (James)
I have chosen Bijan Robinson as the week 6 MVP. This really hurts to do, as he is the sole reason I lost this week. Heading into monday night, Daniel was down 17 points with Bijan left. After he capped of his 81 yard touchdown run, he took over and led Daniel to a win this week. Congrats to Bijan Robinson on the week 6 MVP!
Thanks you for reading the week 6 recap, as we strive to become a better league than the playoffs league.
Until next week…….

Before we get to this week’s awards, check out this week’s episode of Gridiron Heights.
Season 10, Episode 7 (this one is funny to watch if you change everytime they talk about the Jaguars to them talking about Dirty Mike... )
Manager of the Weak

Life comes at you fast in Fantasy Football. The Eagles are a real life mess right now and that is having significant impact on the Fantasy Football success of KRABS. Barkley was a force last year, but its amazing that if you aren't breaking 3 60 yard touchdown runs in the 4th quarter of every game how that can cause a big swing in your fantasy points scored. Now I will say Jonathan Taylor has been an absolute force this year and is single handedly carrying this team right now, but Barkley, Bo Nix, and the meh receivers on this team are going to have to pick up their game if KRABS wants to stay in the top 4 for the rest of the regular season.
Move of the Week

Picking the right defense can have a massive impact on your results week to week and in Week 6 Aaron snagged the LA Rams and it paid off big for his team. They scored 17 points which was the defensive high scorer of the week and helped lead This is the Way to a massive rout over KRABS. To put in perspective how big this performance was, the Rams scored over 4X as many points as all of the defenses that The Commish has started COMBINED since week 3. Yeah its been a struggle.
MVP
Drake Maye, Josh Allen, Baker Mayfield, Jayden Daniels, Bijan Robinson

Apologies to Bijan Robinson who had a massive game in Week 6, but your MVP this week is none other than Josh Allen. Things were looking bleak for the Kayak Pirates in Week 6 Monday night due to having a single digit lead facing Caleb Williams and Deebo Samuel. But Jeff had Josh Allen and while it was a rather comparatively pedestrian outing for Allen, his 18 points were just enough to secure a Monday Night victory. Now clearly Josh Allen is not Joe Flacco (seriously this is getting ridiculous) but the best players get the yards and points they need when the chips are on the table and Josh Allen did exactly that in Week 6. Congrats to Josh Allen for winning the Week 6 MVP!
Manager of the Week

Things looked a little shaky for Dirty Mike and Gator to start the 2025 season, but he finds himself in second place right now (is this the highest he has ever been in the standings this late in the season?!?!) and things are well looking up. Obviously because apparently Joe Flacco has unlocked the Bengals offense and Chase, but also because Rico Dowdle is apparently the second coming of LaDainian Tomlinson now.
And now Dirty Mike is making history and writing himself into the annuals of League History. In Week 6 Brent C became just the 16th instance of a manager scoring 150 or more points in a regular season game. It is extremely difficult to score 150 or more points in a league matchup. Congratulations to Rico Dowdle and Gator for reaching this amazing achievement.
Now I know you are asking, The Commish, can you remind me of who the all time single week scoring leaders are? Well certainly I can my friend.
#5: 2019 Week 5 - The Commish vs. KRABS. The Commish scored 154 points in a shootout with KRABS (he had 135 points).
#4: 2022 Week 8 - Kayak Pirates vs. The Commish. Kayak Pirates scored 157 points in a beatdown of yours truly.
#3: 2014 Week 13 - Jerry's Belt Buckle vs. the icon. Umphlett scored 162 points in a blowout of Overbay.
#2: 2004 Week 8 - The Institute vs. Kayak Pirates. VZ scored 171 points in a 84 point victory over Jeff.
#1: 2020 Week 12 - Kayak Pirates vs. the icon. Jeff scored a whopping 184 points which is a record that I think may last a very very very long time.

And in case you are wondering here is the count of managers who have scored at least 150 points in a regular season game:
- VZ: 5 Times (sigh)
- Brent W: 3 Times
- Jeff: 2 Times
- Jimmy: 2 Times
- Umphlett: 2 Times
- Brent C: Once
- Turner: Once
It's wild to think that Aaron, KRABS, Overbay, or Billy have NEVER scored 150 points.
Well back on topic, congrats to Brent C for winning the Week 6 Manager of the Week.
Until Week 7...
-The Commish
